Lipton's Seat, located in Dambetenna of Haputale, Sri Lanka, is a renowned and picturesque viewpoint that offers visitors a unique perspective on the breathtaking landscapes of the country's central highlands.

Lipton's Seat is named after Sir Thomas Lipton, a prominent Scottish tea baron and entrepreneur who played a significant role in the development of Sri Lanka's tea industry during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Dambatenne Tea Estate, where Lipton's Seat is situated, was one of the estates owned by Sir Thomas Lipton.

The primary attraction of Lipton's Seat is its panoramic views of the surrounding hills. The viewpoint is perched at an elevation of approximately 1,980 meters above sea level, providing visitors with a breathtaking vantage point to observe five provinces of Srilanka namely Uva, Southern, Eastern, Central and Sabaragamuwa. The entire area surrounding Lipton's Seat is covered in meticulously manicured tea plantations, creating a visually stunning mosaic of greenery. The neatly pruned tea bushes extend as far as the eye can see and form a significant part of Sri Lanka's world-famous Ceylon tea production. The best times to visit Lipton's Seat are during sunrise and sunset. The early morning light and the warm hues of the setting sun cast a magical glow over the landscape, making it a favorite spot for photographers and nature enthusiasts.
