50 meters Bomburu Ella Falls is situated in the Sita-Eliya Kandapola forest reserve near the border of Nuwara Eliya and Badulla districts. This is the widest and visitors introduce this as the most beautiful waterfall in Sri Lanka. The water from the Bomburu Ella Falls has been diverted to a nearby powerhouse and used for cultivation.
The two starting points of the trek to Bomburu Ella pass through Bomburu Ella village, accessible by public transportation or private vehicles. There is plenty of parking at the start of the 2-kilometre hike to the waterfall. To reach the other side of the waterfall, you must cross the water channel safely.
Once you reach the top, the waterfall is breathtaking, with its misty, green, and cool atmosphere. Camping is prohibited, but you can rest, have a picnic, and take a bath if you prefer.
